You can mount the Smart Shield for Push Bars onto your emergency exit door to monitor its use. It acts a deterrent against the unnecessary use and sounds an alarm to make you aware of when it has been opened. Designed with the standard “no entry” sign in mind, this provides warning against its use.
When the push bar is pressed with minimum force, a pre-alarm will sound, which then deactivates when it is released. However, should the bar be fully pushed to allow the door to open, the 95-decibel alarm will sound again. The only way to reset it then is to use the key switch.
It also allows for volume adjustment (95 or 75 decibels), and an automatic switch off (30 or 180 seconds) can also be selected. It’s also possible to link this to a central alarm system and to use either mains or battery power.
