Push Bar Rebated Double Door Set
This push bar rebated double door set comes with two push bar units: one with vertical bolts and the other with latch. This provides three-point locking for added security but doesn’t compromise on safety. It allows fire exit doors to be opened quickly and easily by anyone in an emergency, so you’ll find these in premises open to the public and workplaces installed on outward-opening final exit doors. They’re sometimes referred to as panic bars, push bars or crash bars.
The latch and bolts are reversible for use on the left or right rebated doors and conform to BS EN 1125. They’re also CE marked, Certifire accredited, tested to withstand a minimum of 200,000 uses and have a standard 10-year manufacturer’s warranty. The silver Exidor 285 push bar rebated double door set is designed for doors made from timber or steel, each measuring up to 1220mm wide and 2440mm high, and is fire rated in accordance with EN 1634-1.
The panic bolt has an anti-thrust mechanism to stop unauthorised retraction of the bolts and is supplied with easy to clean bolt sockets. The push bar panic latch comes with an adapter that is suitable for use with outside access devices to enable entry from the other side of the door into your premises.
Easy to operate, all that’s needed is a push on the crossbar, which is why it’s a requirement in all buildings with public access or where staff could be unfamiliar with the escape route. Exidor emergency exit hardware is built to the highest quality in the UK.
