The Exidor 296 push bar panic latch can be fitted to the final exit doors and fire doors on escape routes, which helps to make doors easy to open in an emergency. There is a reversible latch, so this is suitable for left and right-handed doors, and the emergency bar fully conforms to BS EN 1125. It’s also Certifire accredited, CE marked, tested to withstand a minimum of 200,000 uses and has a standard 10-year warranty from the manufacturer.
The silver push bar panic latch is designed for single doors made from steel or timber, that measure up to 1220mm wide and are fire rated in accordance with EN 1634-1. The bar is easy to operate: simply push the crossbar and the door will open. Similar designs are legally required in all buildings with public access or where staff might not know the escape route. Exidor emergency exit hardware is high quality and made in the UK.
The push bar panic latch comes with an adapter so it can be used on doors which directly access the outside of the building and allows re-entry after the evacuation.
Please Note: This product is not suitable for plastic or uPVC doors.
