6kg Launcher Fire Extinguisher – Automatic Powder

Operating just like any other extinguisher, the 6kg Powder Launcher Fire Extinguisher is revolutionary in the world of fire protection (something that doesn’t happen all that often). The main difference is that it can also automatically tackle a fire when your property is unoccupied. Suitable for a range of fires including Class A, B, C, and electrical fires, the Sentinel fire extinguisher from FireChief is filled with ABC powder with a 21A 113B fire rating, is CE Marked, and LCPB approved.

How Does the Launcher Fire Extinguisher Work?

In any instance where you are on your premises, you can simply aim hose at the flames and squeeze the handle to operate – just like you would with any ordinary powder fire extinguisher. But, what happens in the event the building is unoccupied?

Thanks to the two included heat sensors, the fire extinguisher automatically springs into action when the temperature rises above 68°C – taking firefighting to a brand-new level. Depending on the location of the fire, the 6kg powder extinguishant is then sprayed out of one or both of the side valves – providing coverage for a 5.8M² area.

It is also the first extinguisher of its kind to take over firefighting in the event the flames become too big to handle. When this happens, the firefighter can launch the extinguisher in the direction of the flames – allowing you to escape to safety. This will then activate the 6kg powder fire extinguisher – converting it into a portable suppression system.

Suitable for high-risk areas unoccupied overnight and weekends, including workshops, industrial units, building sites and flammable liquid stores.

Types of fire include Class A (wood, paper, cloth, etc), B (flammable liquids), C (gas - but never put out a gas fire if the gas cannot then be turned off) and safe around live electrical equipment.

Anticipated lifespan with indoor use and proper maintenance - 10 years.
