Our heavy-duty layflat type 3 fire hose is designed for the most-demanding environments offering high abrasion resistance and an extremely long service life. Complete with alloy couplings for UK fire service fittings, which are wired-on with rubber sleeves, the hose complies with BS 6391 Type 3. Available in two lengths – 18 metres and 23 metres – the former is available with a 45mm diameter while the latter comes with either 45mm or 64mm diameters.
Reinforced with a ribbed polyester jacket and nitrile-blended rubber inner lining, these are bonded together to provide better performance in abrasion resistance to prevent damage even when used in a demanding environment. While commonly designed for firefighting use, the multipurpose hose is commonly used on refineries and construction sites, in agriculture and irrigation, general industrial use and for all wash-down applications.
Manufactured for Vigil Products, the Type 3 layflat fire hose is flexible, kink resistant and easy to clean, with contact resistance to oil, fuel and chemical and a working pressure of 15 bar and burst pressure of 45 bar.
