A revolutionary and non-toxic extinguishing agent known as AVD (Aqueous Vermiculite Dispersion) is deployed as a mist which creates a film over the surface and acts as an oxygen barrier to prevent re-ignition and cool down the flames. The Lith-Ex Fire Extinguisher works even where a powder one can’t, and is the only one which is safe to use on a lithium-ion battery.
Complete with a 5A rating for paper, wood, and cloth fires, and also safe to use on live electrical equipment up to 35kV, it’s the perfect choice for homes, vehicles, aviation, hotels, marine, and leisure facilities.
Currently there is no standard for extinguishing Lithium batteries. However, the 1 litre Lith-Ex fire extinguisher from FireChief is CE Marked, manufactured in accordance with BS EN3, and comes with a 6-year warranty.
