Tackling the risk of accidental or malicious wildfires, the complete wildfire firefighting kit is perfect for country walking routes, camp sites, farms, holiday parks, and other outside spaces. Within each kit, there is a wildfire rakehoe, rake, and fire beater, in addition to a long firefighter axe – ensuring that you’re prepared to tackle small, medium, and large wildfires.
Ensuring you have everything you need to tackle a grass, marsh, or forest fire, the wildfire firefighting kit allows you to purchase everything together at the best possible price.
Wildfire Fire Beater
A classic piece of wildfire kit, the fire beater features a 1.2m long handle which allows you to smother flames and halt the spread of a fire from a safe distance. The solid rubber beater is made from the same industrial-grade rubber as conveyor belts, and is connected with a steel bracket to the corrosion and rot resistant fibreglass handle.
Wildfire Rakehoe
Featuring a two-sided blade and a long fibreglass handle, the forestry rakehoe is designed to rake fire lines with strong, robust teeth. Also known as a McLeod, the rakehoe features a sharpened hoe edge that is suitable for cutting turf and branches as well for the removal of debris from the fire path.
Wildfire Rake
Used for creating rake fire lines, cutting through roots and brush for general maintenance and wildfire control, the forestry rake has four sharp, robust steel blades. Each V-shaped tine is serrated – allowing you to prevent the spread of flames by raking burning material back into an already-burned area so it can be left to burn itself out.
Firefighter Axe
An essential tool for tackling wildfires and also for other brush and forest clearance tasks, the main blade of the long firefighter axe is perfect for chopping wood while the rear mattock blade is typically used for digging around and through roots in the soil.
Your wildfire firefighting kit can be supplemented by purchasing additional wildfire tools separately.
