Single Fire Hydrant Standpipe with Check Valve
The single fire hydrant standpipe with check valve, manufactured with quality aluminium alloy by Vigil Products, is a simple solution to bringing water above ground from an underground mains hydrant. Using its single standard UK 2.5" instantaneous outlet, you can securely connect the layflat fire hose.
The fire hydrant standpipe itself stands at 932mm tall. It connects to the 2.5" female BSRT outlet and is only suitable for use during a fire. It comes supplied with a blank plug and chain to protect outlets from dust and rubbish, and has a working pressure of 25 bar and is tested to 35 bar.
The check valve included is water company approved and stops water from running back through the standpipe once it has passed through. Also, don’t forget you’ll need a fire hydrant key in order to switch the flow of water on or off.
