In situations where wall penetration for ventilation ducting has caused loss of fire rating, an intumescent duct sleeve is an ideal solution. The sleeve prevents the spread of fire between connected compartments. Once exposed to heat, the sleeve expands and crushes the duct. Fire resistance of at least two hours. Will not reduce thermal insulation or vapour seal properties of existing insulation. Only one side of the duct need be accessible for installation. As such, these sleeves are suitable for retrofit scenarios. Easy cut to fit installation reduces waste. Site time is minimal with no mastic, special tools or training required.
Our duct sleeves have been independently tested in accordance with BS476 Parts 20 and 22:1987, EN 1366-3 : 2009 and EN 13501-1 : 2007. Supplied in sizes from 110mm x 54mm to 308mm x 29mm, all with a length of 180mm. The sleeves are easily cut to size to minimize wastage, with no mastic required, thereby reducing on site time.
