Intumescent fire, smoke and draught seals fit into a rebate on the fire door or frame so that, when subject to heat, it expands to many times its size and fills the gaps with a flame-tight seal for 30 or 60 minutes, depending on size.
The draught seals differ from the smoke seals by having a black single rubber blade in place of the nylon brush. Each strip is 2.1 metres long and has an adhesive backing and is available in white or brown with other colours on request - grey, black, light brown, red or cream (special colours can be made to order in 2 days). These fire and smoke seals have been fully tested to comply with British Standard 476 Parts 22 and 31.1, and EN1634-3, with Certifire approval.
