With a Fire Rated Overbox, you can secure and protect your old electrical meter cupboards. This can simply fix over your existing metre using four screw holes. It comes supplied with a key, and intumescent seals on the back and around the doorframe.
Manufactured using a 1.5mm galvanised steel, plus stainless steel hinge and locks, this is tough for anyone to break into. That helps reduce the likelihood of becoming damaged or vandalised.
The intumescent seals will resist fire for up to 60 minutes. These work by expanding when exposed to extreme heat so make it impossible for smoke or fire to get through any gaps.
