Fire Alarm Servicing

Fire alarm servicing is the best way of knowing that you can actually rely on your detection system when you need it most as it can save lives and reduce fire damage. Regular servicing is essential, and generally required every six months, in order to fully comply with fire safety regulation and legislation.

Once ordered, one of our trained engineers will shortly be in contact with you to arrange a suitable day and time to attend. They will then fully service your fire alarm system to check that it is fully working and compliant with BS5839-1. After your initial service, our engineers are available 24/7, free of charge, to help resolve issues over the phone in an emergency.

What Can Simply Extinguishers Service?

We’re able to service fire detection systems of all sizes and shapes in London and surrounding areas.

Places we commonly attend to service systems include shops, offices, warehouses, factories, school, colleges, universities, care homes, hospitals, hotels, restaurants, cafes, village halls, churches, and rental accommodations.

Unlike other servicing companies, we promise to never lock you into a nasty contract. We carry out fire alarm maintenance when you require it, although we will remind you when it’s due.

Remember, we also service fire extinguisher and emergency lighting so it may be worth having these all carried out on the same day to reduce disruption.

Please Note that in order to maintain your existing alarm servicing, we will need to carry out a full-system service on the first visit. This is to ensure there are no previous faults on the system so we can be sure you’re fully protected. But don’t worry, even though it takes longer, it won’t cost more.

How Much Does Fire Alarm Servicing Cost?

We’re completely up front with you on how much it’s going to cost to maintain your system. There are no hidden charges and we pride ourselves on providing the best value.

To calculate your price, simply count how many devices are on your system which can trigger a fire alarm, including the control panel, smoke and heat detectors, and manual call points. This does not include sounders and beacons.

An hourly charge of £65 + VAT will be charged for additional work required, as well as the cost of any parts which need replacing.

What Happens If Something Is Wrong?

After completing your first service, we will attach a sticker to your fire alarm panel and relevant paperwork with the Out of Hours Freephone number. If you ever have an issue then simply call the number at any time and one of our expert engineers will assist you over the phone, free of charge.

Should the fault require an engineer to attend, they’ll arrange to visit your premises as soon as possible. Emergency visits are charged as follows:
