Dual Hot Work Kit

The dual hot work kit ensures that you are prepared for all eventualities, with a 2kg Powder and a 2 litre Fluorine-Free Foam extinguisher, in addition to a 1.2m x 1.8m fire blanket or 1 x 1m welding blanket, depending on your choice. Specifically designed for contractors who are required to perform Hot Works on-site, the kit also includes a robust steel carry basket to make it easy to have everything you need ready to take with you.

Both FireChief extinguishers are BSEN3 approved, and ensures that you are effectively prepared to tackle Class A, B, and C fires involving general combustibles such as woods, paper, and cloth, along with flammable gases and liquids. The large high-performance industrial fire blanket is also approved and tested to BSEN1869:1997. And the welding blanket is temperature tested up to 550°C and is constructed of silicone coated glass fibre material on both sides. 

Everyone must assess work area fire risks, obtain or self-complete a Hot Work permit for every job before commencing work, whilst also ensuring that essential fire safety gear is available on-site in case of an emergency. Brazing, soldering, welding, grinding, and drilling are known as ‘Hot Work’, where sparks, flames, and heat present a potential fire risk, especially in areas where combustible or flammable materials can be found.
