With an elegant black design, the P50 Service-Free 6-litre foam fire extinguisher is ideal for locations where aesthetics are a priority. Like the classic red P50 model, it is filled with environmentally friendly, PFAS-free foam, comes with a 10-year warranty, and eliminates the need for annual servicing by a technician.

As one of the first fluorine-free foam extinguishers on the market, this PFAS-free option significantly reduces environmental impact by avoiding fluorochemicals known for long-term environmental harm.

The black 6-litre Eco-Foam Fire Extinguisher has a fire rating of 27A 144B, making it effective against everyday combustibles (Class A), flammable liquids (Class B), and even tested safe for use around electrical equipment. Constructed with the same high-quality materials as its red counterpart, it meets all essential standards, though the black colour precludes certain certifications. Nevertheless, it remains CE Marked and UKCA approved, ensuring full compliance with fire safety regulations.

Maintenance is straightforward, with clear instructions printed on the back for easy inspection and record-keeping. You can log checks using a marker pen or a convenient app available for both Google and Apple devices. The extinguisher features dual pressure gauges for added reliability, and a supplied magnet makes it easy to confirm they are functioning correctly.

Proudly manufactured in Great Britain by Britannia, the P50 extinguisher is made of virtually indestructible polyethylene and Aramid fibre (Kevlar®). This ensures it is resistant to corrosion, lightweight, and durable, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. With a lifespan of 20 years, it requires a factory refurbishment at the 10-year mark to minimise waste, and it is fully recyclable at the end of its service life.

Suitable for boutique shops, restaurants, hotels, nightclubs and any other trendy location where the traditional red extinguisher doesn’t quite match your style.

Types of fire include Class A (wood, paper, cloth, etc), B (flammable liquids), and fire involving electrical equipment (tested to 1000V).

Anticipated lifespan with indoor use and proper maintenance - 10 years, with an additional 10 years after factory refurbishment.

Please Note: You should still have your new service-free P50 extinguishers commissioned and installed by an extinguisher technician. Additionally, due to the specialist nature, these are made to order and may not be delivered the next working day.

P50 annual maintenance checks involve the following:

  • Visually checking the gauge is reading in the green segment and the safety pin and tamper tag are in place.
  • Removing the magnet from the base of the unit and checking the magnetic gauge (the needle should move to show it is not stuck and reading the correct pressure).
  • Check the extinguisher is within the life expectancy by the colour date stud.
  • Sign the back of the extinguisher with a permanent marker pen.
