9 litre Water Fire Extinguisher for Lithium Batteries

Cartridge-operated, it contains a unique water additive that works with a special misting nozzle to deliver a powerful cooling effect on flames, while simultaneously cooling down the battery and other cells. Having passed rigorous suitability testing for use on lithium-ion batteries, this extinguisher is an outstanding choice for safety and reliability. Plus, it’s Fluorine-free, boasts a robust 27A fire rating, and carries both CE Mark and BS EN3 Kitemark certifications.

Using the 9 litre water fire extinguisher for lithium batteries is straightforward and efficient. First, remove the safety pin and strike the knob on top with a firm fist. Then, aim the extinguishing lance at the base of the flames while gripping the pistol handle. The lance allows you to stand safely 4 metres away from the danger, offering both protection and an impressive discharge time of up to 80 seconds.

Types of fire include Class A (wood, paper, cloth, etc) and fires involving lithium-ion batteries up to 1285Wh. Notably, it’s safe if inadvertently sprayed on electricals up to 1000V.

Extinguisher Servicing: Bear in mind that you'll likely need your new 6 litre LFX Fire Extinguisher commissioned, and followed by annual servicing. A legal requirement for businesses and rental properties, it’ll often be recommended by your insurance company too. We offer the option of commissioning only, or with wall fixing, where our local engineer will certify and label the extinguisher before issuing a certificate for your compliance.
