6 litre LFX Lithium Battery Fire Extinguisher

Our 6 litre LFX Fire Extinguisher is one of the safest methods for tackling fires involving Lithium-Ion batteries. It is suitable for battery capacities up to 600Wh, making it an excellent choice for hoverboards, drones, and locations with multiple smaller portable devices. With a 27A fire rating, it is also effective for fires involving paper and cloth that could catch fire from an exploding battery, helping you halt the spread of flames. 

The CommanderEDGE LFX range of extinguishers are water-based and Fluorine-free. They discharge as a foam that quickly absorbs heat, breaking down the chain reaction that leads to thermal runaway. This cools down the battery and prevents cells from overheating.

This 6 litre lithium battery fire extinguisher comes with a 5-year warranty and carries the BS EN3 Kitemark, UKCA, and CE Mark, along with MED and NTA 8133 approvals. The NTA 8133 approval is the first standardised method for testing the extinguishing abilities of lithium batteries. Be sure to check the Watt-hour rating of the devices you need to protect to ensure that 600Wh is sufficient for your needs.

Suitable for various environments including homes, offices, workshops and repair stores with cordless tools, mobile phones, laptops, electric toothbrushes, toys, etc.

Types of fire include Class A (wood, paper, cloth, etc) and fires involving lithium-ion batteries up to 300Wh. Notably, it’s safe if inadvertently sprayed on electricals up to 1000V.

Extinguisher Servicing: Bear in mind that you'll likely need your new 6 litre LFX Fire Extinguisher commissioned, and followed by annual servicing. A legal requirement for businesses and rental properties, it’ll often be recommended by your insurance company too. We offer the option of commissioning only, or with wall fixing, where our local engineer will certify and label the extinguisher before issuing a certificate for your compliance.
