24V Key Switch Timer Relay
Designed to meet the demanding and varied requirements of system integration and isolation of auxiliary equipment for managing false alarms and system tests, the 24V key switch timer relay ensures an easy way for authorised personnel to temporarily isolate devices. It also allows you to delay the automatic activation or shutdown of equipment connected to your fire alarm thanks to the in-built timer function.
The adjustable timer (0-5 minutes), delays the signal received from the fire panel. This helps with the management of false alarms and allows enough time for a responsible person to investigate an alarm. This could be used to delay a digital communicator to alert the fire brigade, the shutting down of plant equipment, and the closing of fire doors. Producing a ‘tick tock’ noise and emitting a yellow LED when the timer is active, a red LED indicator is displayed once the output is activated at the end of the time period.
Adjustment of the timer and buzzer settings can be done via the DIL switches behind the front cover. A failsafe also ensures that the switch cannot be accidentally left in the isolator position, as the yellow LED indicator is illuminated, the key is not removable, and the buzzer is active. The UK single gang format ensures the 24V key switch timer relay can be surface mounted on a 20mm conduit box, and it is supplied as a complete red enclosure.
